Nice,

I will be on the look out for the 240mm

what type of mounts did you use on the bear trucks? how did they work?

Not really sure what you meant

Debating if the 240mm version would have 10mm axles. Some love them, some hate em

I want em😏

I was hoping for regular 8mm axles.

You can always get 22mm od 10mm id bearings.

Can’t imagine they last longer than normal skate bearings.

Why do people prefer 8mm, I like my axles to be as thicc as possible

Wider selection of bearings/spacers/speed washers.

I’m loving the stepped axle on the Kahua trucks. Strength from the thicc side and then compatibility on the end

I wish you the best with this lineup of precision trucks.

Just to clear things out. You’re not making up for lost stiffness, 6061 and 7075 will have the same stiffness for the same cross section.
You’re making up for strength, 7075 has higher yield strength, it makes sense because you’re increasing the bending moment at the root.

Ooh u right, that 12mm is extra thicc

I want a 127mm hanger with 10mm step down to 8mm.
Super tight fit on 6355. Would be just as wide as a caliber truck but with axle length for pulleys with bearings.
That’s what I’m setting up on my surfrodz tkp.

This but 240👌 good call skunky

Sounds like you wanna get some 6399’s on

You’re right, similar to how all types of steel have the same modulus. I don’t know how I forgot that

I keep thinking about making a 2 piece hanger with a solid through axle. You could open up the hanger to modify the axle length! Multiple version of axles :open_mouth: It could be stepped down from 10mm to 8mm. Bit of a radius on the stepdown to avoid a stress concentration maybe, otherwise there will be a weak point. It is time to CADDDDDD

The more I think about it though, the more a 2 halved hanger sounds expensive. Seems pretty unpractical but it is kinda cool to think about

Yep, you might add material to the center transition, to compensate for the decreased stiffness. No one is going to mount anything that far

Because the 608 bearings have bigger balls than 6900 bearings and are better and last longer.
