Yeah I checked everything and it all looks good, no abnormal stress on anything, just started after my morning ride today. I guess I’ll just have to do a complete teardown and see if I can’t find it.
take off the wheel and spin the gear, if it still has that sound, then its from the gearbox
Totally looks like one of your inside screws unscrewed, and it’s hitting on the truck adapter
So nothing inside, and when I test everything on its own no noise and completely smooth, I don’t get it.
Loosen your axle nut an eighth of a turn. Does it go away? I had a similar noise and that was my issue.
I put it all back together as I found nothing, I did 1/8 back off and it seems to be all good now. Noises like that make me kinda nervous. Thanks for the help.
then its the wheel outer bearing being tighten too much, glad it work out
Do you have a bearing spacer between your wheel bearings?
Yeah the maybe 4mm one in the kit, I tore it all down and now it works like the first day. I’ll definitely not tighten axle nuts to the fullest any more.
The pivot cup is custom from Riptide
Any plans on a m1 helical speed gear?
I suppose you want him to give you a backrub too
I don’t really do this unless the wheels are metal and when I crank it down, there’s no resistance at all.
they should, they should!
So all good, bro.
Man if i can get a fucking helical 1.8 or 1.5 gear ratio id be a super happy boy.
Why not just go higher kv?
im already gonna use a 190 and 200kv motor for both my builds and i hate high gear ratios personally. torque means nothing to me since i run 4wd so im never at a lose for torque.
Well, your motors would still run cooler, but fair enough; lower gear ratio would give you better free-roll, which is usually a downside on 4WD. You do you then
