Boardnamics M1 Gear Drive + Other News

So real quick tutorial anyone, I’m dumb when it comes to gear ration what does each one mean and how would it effect ride? For the new AT kit

AT kit has shorter gearing which makes it ideal for bigger tires. It is capable of transmitting more torque in general. Pneumatic tires need more torque since they’re bigger in diameter

Plug the gear ratio/tire size/pack series/motor kv into esk8 calculator to get your loaded top speed for that config.
Lower speed=more torque and visa versa.
It’s a balancing act to get what you want out of your build.

Anyone from the uk ordered some drives and trucks? What customs charge we looking at?

Now I can’t decide on a mount.

I can declare a lower value to reduce the tax a bit: Typically 50%-70% of the value.

Are the trucks adapter plates the same size on the M1 and the AT-m1?

No, the AT truck adapters are bigger and have different geometry. Every part is bigger. It’s the big brother of the M1

Shipping is crazy at $48

Yeah international is a lot but sometimes the website over or undercharges. A pair of drives is 2kg which is at least $50 shipped anywhere.

Welp, damn it. Time to buy some helical gears…
They scream just like the straight cuts but sound much cleaner.

Ummm so i’m late to the party here, but i just rode the M1s for the first time and fuck me, I am amazed.

Free roll is incredible, noise is not too obtrusive while driving, gets a bit loud while braking  but I am super impressed. These are great Kevin, good work!

Does anyone know what the theeth count is on the 5.2 ratios drives ? ( And the other ratio’s )

Yeah everything depends on the commercial invoice when shipped. I think Kevin is on it already though

Do you have a tooth break down for all 3 ratios? 5.20 = 9/48 (example)

Motor pulleys

It says 75T but that’s for the M1 not ATM1 I don’t know if there is a different wheel pulley
The ratio on the calculator says different but Close So I don’t know if Kevin round it up or is using a different wheel pulley for his all-terrain M1
