Boardnamics M1-AT Gear Drive 7:1 Reduction Interest

Hi all,
Getting a custom M1-AT set that’s a high reduction for extreme torque builds. Good for big tires from 8” to 11”. So far, these are a custom order for one customer but was wondering if there was any interest amongst anyone else. This will be a one time thing.

Details:
Nearly same as M1-AT but:
5:5 to 7.0 reduction range.
Drive case OD grew from 102mm to 124mm to accommodate bigger gears.
MOD1 metal straight cut gearing only.

Any added quantity would help the unit cost. Pricing is up in the air at the moment but it will hover around $400-$500 per pair.

Ugh I need to stop spending money

Do they arrive before or after I retire?

When do I have to put down the money? I am probably interested in one set but I am a bit tight on cash at the moment.

This is a 3 week lead time order w/ delivery by the end of this month.

There is a 50% deposit required for these, mainly to offset the costs of the wheel gears.

It’s gonna be super tight to fit into my budget for this month that’s for sure. I’ll calculate it tomorrow if it’s possible or not. I am going to send you a PM about this on Instagram as we already chatted there

are the gear ratios made to order?

Yes sir

Will you be stocking replacement parts? Will it use the same wheel adapter system as the regular M1-AT?

Same wheel adapter system. All parts are same as normal M1-AT except for wheel gear itself, pinion, motor plate, and case.

Can you make the hanger adapter bigger so they can fit on ROSA trucks?

Anything your heart desires for these. They’re custom

@Boardnamics Any word on Matrix III M1 AT adapters?

Also, straight cut gears availability?

what ever happened to the 2.85 ratio helical gear set for the BNM1?

The MIII adapters are on an order-only basis.
The 5.2 ratio straight cut gears are back in stock now.

I am never getting more helical gears made for either sized drive.

When will they be on the website and how much will they cost

I am modifying adapters on my machine to fit M3 so they will be an order only basis. I am thinking $50 for a pair.

It feels like retaining compound has been thoroughly proven as insufficient to hold against the lateral forces caused by helical gears.

Why haven’t you fully committed to straight cut? And by that I mean keeping them as in stock as helical or more?
