you can do the same with spinning the motor up and a hacksaw, just saying… It’s not as clean but hey, it works.
i wonder, is it feasible to just dremel a couple slots for the circlip to grab into?
probably, as @Ac53n said tho, it won’t be as clean
i’ll have to try that next time
Its not horrible, just make sure you have something solid to push whatever your cutting blade is up against to keep it in the same spot to make a clean groove to start. Once you’ve got it a bit in it isnt bad.
gues i could always use a dremel to start it too
Hi @Boardnamics I have V1 of the M1 AT wheel adapter and they’re wearing out. I would like to order a pair of V2 but couldn’t find a link on your site.
Anyone make an adapter for XCELL rims by chance? i have some i’d like to use but instead I’m using my old mbs rockstar IIs.
i keep imagining designing something that direct interfaces to the rim, that let’s me pull the rim to change a tire without having extra finicky mountingn bits on it.
Xcell rims are just mbs pattern no?
Shoot man, what year did you get your M1-AT? I think I might need the new ones too.
I got them in 2021. For now I switched them to opposite sides to wear it down the other way.
Yes, however, they only bolt in from the back side.
ahh, well you could do what stooge does with their hubs* and get the long set screws and loctite em in
Were you able to find the steel v2 adapters?
Whats the consensus on using rockstar pro 2 alum hubs w/ m1 at gd’s on hypertrucks? I got through to chapter 27 of this novel thread so far after a weeks full of my free time.
Yeah baby!
I remember asking about this, the solution is to either buy some allthread rod and then use a two nuts jammed against each other to tighten into the hub, that way it gives you a stud, or buy a double ended standoff
Rockstar Pro 2’s on M1AT should be totally fine, assuming you have enough axle length for it (I dont know exactly how much is needed). If the bearing-to-bearing distance on those hubs is the same as on the Fivestars, then it works fine (that’s what I’m currently running on my hypertrucks/M1AT).
M1AT on hypertrucks is more challenging. There were only a few dozen sets of hypertrucks adapters made, and I dont know if any are still available to buy.
Hi,
The V2 and V3 are also phased out. Technically we’re at V4 which is a POM plate with screw sleeves. I’ll PM you.
after a couple tube changes. I can’t wait for v5.
