In my opinion, the problem is the Kapton tape/stickers covering the defects or mold lines. I can’t think of any good way to fix it, it seems like just an issue with the tires, the trend I’m noticing is that the harder they are pushed whether it be acceleration or speed but the more they are just to fragile to stand up to the inner part of the tire.
I noticed that the valve stems move a lot more than other tires under speed, when you are going fast the valve stem points almost straight in so there is a lot of stress on the tube for sure.
What do you think of the pattern inside the tire ? In my limited experience ive yet to see another time with ribbing inside ? Maybe a dab of silicone the the defect could prevent a tear ?
Yep and they wont fit and then you cut them and you have sharp edges and tube spin on liners defeating the entire purpose. The liners arent made for the wheel speed or the wheel. You still are having rub still shredding tubes. Ask me how i know. I went through 3 different tire liners trying to get xcell rs tires to work. Its just a bunk sent you have to gamble. I dont think people realize almost none of these tires or tubes are purpose built. We are using wheel barrel, rc car, knee scooter, throw away Chinese scooters and push cart tires and tubes. Almost none of these tires are purpose built for these devices. The ecosystem is extremely niche and secondary.
Hey guys, thank you for all the info!! We are looking into this heavily. If anyone does get a flat please email support pictures of the tube, tire wall, and hubs. While this does only affect a small percentage of tires (that we track through support emails, if you dont email its not counted) we will keep improving!!
We figured out that it was probably just the yellow tape coming unstuck and balling up and rubbing against the tube and tearing it. Seems like a pretty easy fix, thanks for looking into it!
I meant to post this sooner but for anyone running these make sure your tires don’t have this tape in the and I would just througly clean out the interior walls (I put some spray silicone on a paper towel and wiped it in there as well but I don’t know if this is necessary), after doing this the problem seems to have gone away for me.
Following up, zero ZERO!!flats with these tubes. I am a flat machine, so well worth it
@BuildKitBoards I like your tires, I have a fuck ton, these tubes are a little big, but if you install them carefully they have solved my issue. We all want vendors to succeed, we get that shit happens. I’m probably in the minority ( when am I not excepting the Caucasian thing) I would buy you tires if you included these tubes. Or a hd version of your own. I want every vendor to be successful, so I can thrash your stuff. Happy Thanksgiving
