Are you talking about the ones SR sells? Or some rando bearings? Cheap random bearings are AWFUL. I repeat, AWFUL. I bought a hundred cheap vxb on ebay back in the day. was swapping them out monthly and hating myself.
Rando cheap ones that have seen like 200 miles
Im not shelling out money for 6900 bearings, 10mm axles suck
I’ll let you know once I test them out. Might not be for a while though since I got these for when my current bearings eventually fail and those are still going strong at the moment. I’ll do some thorough testing of them once the snow and rain come back!
Pretty cool! from Rockin Ron’s: Rockets Bearings – Skate and Annoy Reviews (more RIP)
NMB hmmmm
BTW I have knives with 52100 steel.
So cool.
all bearings with the -llu suffix have a groove for the rubber seal to ride in
Oh I forgot to mention. Loaded actually put a lot of time and sweat into their Jehu bearings. Talked to the founder back in the day. They worked on them forever, and he was quite proud of them.
Imagine if they were shit aha
With that ‘steady’ hand of his… I’m going to go on the side of
No, they are shit
Come on man these are crap ABEC3 bearings.
Actually? Lol they cost 2x the HCH Chinese bearings but have the same rating
(subtle humor to highlight the ridiculousness of the use of ABEC ratings for skate bearings)
@deucesdown if I know anything about you, it’s that you’re a parts-hoarder. HCH bearings are cheap, and that’s 50% of my point!! Hope they serve you well
Alrighty boys. 2 month old Zealous with less than 300 miles on it catastrophically shit out on me today. Steel, not ceramic. Taking apart after the drive home…
My fuckup for not carrying a spare bearing… but now that Zealous has let me down, what should I grab next?
a bike
Good idea. What bearings should I put in it?
stolen ones
Good idea. We should split this into a new “best bearings for our bikes thread” so people don’t mistakenly steal bearings for their boards.
Curious as to which wheels you were using?
Evolve hubs. May be part of the issue. Slightly loose fit made tight with kapton, but the kapton would start to scrunch up. Going to try printer paper next. 8" razor pnummies.
Was the spacing correct? Are you able to tighten the axle nut without any added binding
