If I am using Ppm only on a vX-1 remote and a Fsesc 6.6 mini, are the RX and TX wires doing anything?

Nope

How do I mountainboard with cheap clone parts, cheap velcro straps and cheap bearings?

Just got an ultra budget analog mountainboard together and trying to learn channel trucks.

It’ll be electric eventually, but for now just downhill.

I don’t think it’s even possible for auto power off to work on these. The power switch is a latching button.

I forgot I posted in here but I asked Flipsky and it does not have roll to start, and mine has a momentary button, not latching

Edit: I forgot I’m using an anti-spark switch because the FSESC 6.7 does not have a switch

u get it sorted?

I’m away from my workbench, dog sitting.

Still confused as to how to hook two OG focboxes together, and to receiver, but no enclosure to put them into at this point either.

u can buy a Y type servo cable i found them on amazon

Hey y’all, I made a really dumb and easily avoidable mistake of soldering an adapter with reversed polarity and plugging it into my charger.
I’ve worked with the seller trying to find a replacement part but I’m way outta my depth here:

This is the part I’m looking to replace, the seller referred to it as a “fuse”, “R003 resistor”, and when I asked if he had a part number he said “find a 40A replacement policy”. I suspect he meant part rather than policy but again, way out of my depth, I don’t know terminology.

When searching mouser for R003 40A resistor, I’m certainly not finding anything that looks like the part I need to replace.

I’m not sure where to go from here other than searching mouser/digikey for something that looks similar to my part but even that seems fruitless so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You’ll get ground loops through the 5V wire if youre using something like this, better off using CANbus to forward the servo signal.

most used focbox have dead can. :man_shrugging:
he knows to remove the extra wire.
may not be popular but its dependable

Am immersed in the split ppm vs canbus rabbithole here, and on the old forum.

Perhaps a fried can chip is why one of my focboxes smells burnt.

Depends on version, for 1.6’s I’d agree with you.

How would I tell which focbox versions I have?

It’s written on the PCB if you open them. Don’t lose or dirty the silicone heat pads.

If you split the PWM (“PPM”) wire, cut the 5V wire on one side and only connect the red wire to one ESC.
