ignore that one when using ppm remotes.
did you pair the remote to the receiver or did you update the remote firmware?

I am using an UART remote and not a PPM remote. The PPM mode for this remote is shit.
It is paired and I would update the remote firmware if flipsky bothered to include it on their site. They show screen shots of it existing but failed to provide any links to download it
then these are the only links on their download page:
I have v1.1 already on the remote though?
well i don’t know that
I’ve also already followed that “tutorial” and it didn’t work. Both links have the same info in them btw. No one on here who claims to be using it have mentioned how they got it to work either on the results that pop up for the forum
Get a puck.
I bought the vx4 for the screen. which is completely missing on the puck. I’m not buying a remote that doesn’t have the basic features I need for my board.
then i can’t help you.
The puck is reliable and just works. I value this more than infos i can get from my phone instead.
maybe @Evwan has an idea?
Vx4 is junk. I benched mine, my potentiometer is already going bad or something bc it’s super jerky at low throttle %.
I am NOT pulling my phone out just to check my speed while on my baord. That is just asking to get thrown off and injured and have a broken phone.
Also now my fucking power button just doesn’t work. Worked fine before updating the firmware. So I updated only to have the remote still not work and I lost the use of the power button completely for absolutely no good reason. It isn’t broken seeing as the board has been on my desk this entire time with 0 way to break.
looking at phone screen = looking at remote screen
I have to get my phone out of my pocket and unlock it. My remote screen is always on and always in my hand when on my board. not to mention I then have 0 free hands if I have my phone in one and remote in the other since not everyone can hold both in one hand and still use them.
Skill issue lol jk
The only skill issue is from VESC tool just not doing what it claims to do and randomly breaking my shit.
Why though? I have always used display-free remotes except for a Vx4 and I never looked at it, I rode a board with a davega once too for a while and I never looked at that thing either. I’m curious why people like displays so much.
Because I need to know how fast I’m going so I don’t fucking kill myself.
under normal circumstances you can tell exactly how fast you’re going based on the sound your board is making, but you have hub motors which makes it pretty difficult
I can’t hear anything, I ride with a full face and earbuds, so I just ride at a speed I feel comfortable at.
