Bafang 350W 26in hubs from Jag35 / Battery Clearing House

Is anyone in the Bay Area interested in getting a set of the A123 cells?
I only need one set, but shipping only makes sense for two or more…
And I was not planning on doing a „for the community“ move either…

These hubs look like they have minimal use. The planetary gears still look brand new on mine. Could definitely use some fresh grease though

I have bought the cells for my solar battery setup from them. They are legit and honest. A bit funky to deal with on the phone, but it’s a mom and pop style operation.

sweet, I’m guessing no way to grease with taking apart?

@Scepterr yeah, I don’t see any way other then taking them apart. Pretty easy to take apart at least, just those outside screws and the cover pops off. And then tap the axle on the other side and the motor assembly slides out.

You box looks a little better than mine :). This is how my box arrived from FedEx Delivery guy as shown from my doorbell cam. Sorry, had to erase his face since this is public forum.

Haha, yeah, yours looks pretty terrible. All the wheels in there, just missing all the bags of hardware, I imagine?

Now I wish I got a box / packaging that looks like yours !!! Congrats that your box survived along the way.

I guess mine came in the best shape lol

Yes, all 4 wheels are in there. I have a couple bags of hardware in there, but it’s opened / came loose in those ziploc bags, so it seems I am missing some of washers / bolts / nuts. I planned on replacing the locknut bolts. I did seem to get the full set (four) of those tabbed torque washers that fits into the bike’s dropouts, which you can’t just find at any hardware store.

One of the Bafang motor connector pins was bent, but I think I got it mostly straighten up.

And yeah, the Bafang hub motors / covers were pretty banged up, but since it’s used, I guess I can’t complain. Now just need to get my BLDC motor controller shipped so I can test if they work or not and didn’t get broken during shipping along the way.

Maybe only getting the 2 hub motors helped. Haven’t plugged them up to anything yet to test functionality.

Now i can’t wait to see my box travesty on monday evening.

Didn’t we wait longer for better boxes?

I see lots of post about BCH and horrible packing. But they got the deals tho.

Haha, yeah man. We’re a bunch of crack heads. Just throw all the cells in a box loose and shave a couple bux off.

Right? Sometimes i feel so dirty. But it usually works out.

I feel like there should be an option for cheap packing and premium packing
I would buy more if I can be more assured of the condition it’ll arrive in

I cant post pictures but my box is beat all up to, waited extra long for better box too, sent pictures to battery clearing house and heard nothing back, no bag of bolts. I thought there were including cells too, no cells either

I don’t think we hit the requirements for free cells.
I think it was 500 sets of wheels and he would include free cells.
I don’t think he got close to 500. On the Sunday when the sale was going on he told me they were just over 100 sets of wheels.

The damage is a bummer but as long as they work it’s a heck of a deal still.

100 wow must have been quite a few folks who saw the thread!

I’ve been thinking about the hub motor connector-

Can we do a group buy for it to save money?

It isn’t even clear from the conversation what one it is exactly
@Scepterr?

I ordered a controller that I think will be plug and play. When it gets here I’ll try it out and report back.
I got three buddies who ordered the wheels too.
If the controller works we’ll be ordering more. Maybe they’ll be worth doing a group buy on.

I posted the deal on endless sphere, Reddit and my local forum as well. I think a few ordered from there too.
