Bafang 350W 26in hubs from Jag35 / Battery Clearing House

They’re made with a cnc welding machine :ok_hand: nice.

I’m going to have to check if they’re all M1A’s though, that pack number looks like a date format, and 2010 was the cutover year to M1B’s.

Okay, good thing, they’re all from the same 2010 batch.

Some day I’ll make the jump to flammable cells, just not quite ready yet.

Easy for you to say, yours isn’t on your back. I’m different, special even, and not necessarily in a good way.

True. But I do have over 150 of them pointing directly at the crown jewels.

Actually rn I’m not sure whether I just wasted $400. Maybe I’ll have to go 24S LiFePO4 just to get 69V? I thought all LiFePO4 cells were born at the same voltage.

They are charged to the same voltage, but less resistance and more capacity = less sag. The sag in that chart is for a single cell though, you might see less sag in a big pack with some Ps (though obv still more sag than a m1b pack).

I’m sure it’ll be better than my 20S1P 40152S Headway pack. Plus, these are new M1A’s, probably compares favourably to 2nd-hand M1B’s anyway.

Didn’t survive shipping so well
Hubs are beat up but I suppose they were used to begin with oh well

Mine will get here wednesday next week, hoping for better than this but for the price… It’s what I expect.

Yeah, my box was almost destroyed. Had some random bolts spillin’ out, but the wheels themselves made it. One of the geared (non-powered) hubs doesn’t seem to be functioning, but w/e. Still happy w/ the buy since it was just cheap/salvage parts. it was probably a royal pain to ship these w/o taking a total bath ($$).

indeed, huge 50lb box …I’m not sure cost was covered with the purchase price

I’ll probably remove these, although I don’t plan on pulling more than 20-30A at a time.

Anyone know where I can get a variable voltage charger that goes does 200V+?

hmm, a level 2 car charger?

An L2 EVSE only allows the AC voltage to be sent to the car’s charger board at an amperage that is acceptable and safe. I need the charger itself, good suggestion though

Damn they have a heap of stuff. Very interesting, especially for larger LiIon and LFP pouch cells
