Mark your phase wires.
You only need to be able to count to 6 so you won’t even need to take off your shoes.

Even if you unplug one phase, rotate the motor can, and replug?

Well you did not change the order so no need to do a redetection.

Well this was what got me confused. I only unplugged 1 phase wire for 2 sec to check what bullet connector I used again. Only 1 phase. And had to redo detection…
In vesc tool everything under foc/sensored was in red.
The other vesc with the untouched phasewires was still green.

Edit. Also I had shut down the system completley before I unplugged the phase wire.

I thought maybe the rotation of the motor while not connected would lose track of position of the motor.

Then what happens when you rotate the motor with the vesc turned off?

You can also wood burn a design and then put some poly down and glass frit and your good that is what I do,

All 3 phases are still connected and therefore affected the same in that case. If you unplug one phase, rotate the wheel, and plug back in, the other 2 are still in sync while the other is not (unless you happen to line it up perfectly)

Again, no idea if this is true. This is what I have found empirically and thought was the root cause.

I haven’t needed to.

Tested with another ESC, and also got over-current faults when I accelerate the motor hard and get it to make a clunk sound. Going to buy a new motor.

(Just in case anyone was wondering how the story ended :upside_down_face: )

What type/size screw is needed for the evolve gen 3 battery case?

I have this odd situation yesterday, my boards direction suddenly got reversed…

Running on Flipsky 4.20 Plus…

Turn on the remote and board and push the thumb wheel forward and bammm! The boar goes in reverse…

Not sure what happened

What remote? Vx1?

Yeap the VX1

Does anyone know if a Paris hangar would be compatible with say, a Caliber II baseplate?

If not, what other baseplates are compatible with Paris? My upcoming build might not be able to have the Paris baseplate due to the semicircled shape at one end.

I’ve had the same thing it’s really wierd I’ve also had it make the wheels spin in 2 opposite directions when putting the board into reverse. If anyone knows the possible cause of this pls let me know

Fyi I’m useing uart not ppm

Hmmm…That’s odd…

I am using PPM tho…

But did it stayed that way or it reverted to the previous setup after rebooting the board/remote? @M.Hboards

Once shutting the board off and turning it back on it functioned like normal.

A bit more info would help.
Which remote are you using?
Battery cell count and Battery cutoff voltage in vesc tool?

If your remote has a slow / fast mode. Put it in fast mode then you need to make sure its calibrated in vesc tool to give full accell and full brake. You can check in the box circled below when you move the trigger you will see a bar move left and right, it should hit the end as the travel of the trigger hits its end points.
