Pitch type?
1,75 for a normal M12 thread.
Quick tip. Just measure the outer diameter of a thread and you know the M number. Like 12mm equals M12 and so on
whoops. wait a sec
Noob question - how to determine the max wheels diameter your deck can use without getting wheel bite?
Example, I have a backfire G2T which I would like to convert to belt drive. What would be the maximum wheels diameter I can use or what truck would I need to be able to use a 6" AT wheels?
It is a type error.
typo
On what length hanger? We need more details in order to help. Thanks!
I haven’t decide on truck yet as I will be converting my backfire to belt drive and will require a new truck.
What length would I need to be able to use 6" AT wheels?
Anyone put some Bermeister wheels on a TB DD AWD setup using janux hubs with success???
EDIT: 90kV DDs
I would leave the Backfire alone, and start a fresh AT build. Here’s why:
By the time you’re finished, there will be very little Backfire left. You’ll get half the range you do now with the BF battery, and you’ll need new trucks, rims/tires, motors, esc, and remote. Ship of Theseus situation IMHO.
Keep the Backfire as is, and you’ll have a fully-functioning board to ride while you build.
Some people would say “don’t do it”, but that is assuming you don’t know what you’re doing. If you want to know:
Here’s how you compute how fast tyou can charge your batteries at most:
Usually this is refered to as the C-rata (also for discharge, but a different number there!)
The C-rate describes how many times you charge the battery in an hour, at most.
Usually the max safe C-rate is 0.5. Thus you need to charge at least two hours
the needed amps (charger) to do so is pack Ah * C-rate.
In your case: 15*0.5 = 7.5A
So, no, an 8A charger would not harm your batteries, but you are pushing them at their limit.
You can totally do that if you make sure all the cahrge wiring (chargeport, fuses, cables AND BMS) are rated for at least 10A

hi,
building a battery for a boombox (partially to practice for the skate one i’m building)
What’s the best way to test a BMS?
if i plug in the charger it shows green as if the battery is charged, testing the voltage straight on B+ and B- it’s 21.7v
- if i test with the multimeter + on B+ then negative on first diode pad it reads 21.7
- testing on the 2nd diode pad reads 0 volts, should i get a reading on that 2nd diode pad when it’s plugged into a charger?
Not at all.
Unless it’s not going to be waterproof, and then still.
i’ve used janux hubs with pneumatic tires on TBDD 75kv and i think you will be underwhelmed by the performance. i do not believe @torqueboards endorses a DD/Pneumatic combination for this very reason.
Great thanks for the info!!
Does anyone have experience repairing a heat gun that suddenly won’t turn on anymore?
Wires look fine
Went on a group ride last night 1/2 way it bucketed down my board was ok the psychotiller enclosure is relatively water resistant. But my flipshite VX2 filled with water and started playing up. I lost connectivity amd lost braking at one point. Today pulled it apart amd cleaned it with ipa (the non beer kind). I have heard covering the pcb and battery with nail varnish can help with water resistance. The pot itself is the weak link but I can harden the rest against water damage. Anyone else tried this?
