I originally had a ~70w LED that was a pretty narrow beam at the same height as my deck, shattered the lens and destroyed 40% of the drivers in a curb accident.

i have a rebuilt a bamboo GT, only deck and trucks are original. Rest is DIY. But i also have a prestine evolve and have no desires to upgrade it. It does 95% of what I want. Its not an cost effective upgrade. Battery only upgrade I may consider as it ages.
Has anyone tried using alternative grip methods such as perhaps tire studs? Do they work at all instead of grip tape?
Better than that is wood screws through the deck from the bottom.

They only work on 10mm axles, think they need to be extended too
And for tyre made for 3.75" hubs

You can probably get that repaired but those are so cheap it may not be worth it.
I’ve never personally heard of an ESC throwing DRV errors and then later working correctly
