If those symptoms don’t appear in the motor while disconnected from the ESC, then it is most likely some kind of internal short in the ESC… I’d take a look for any obvious damage (anything melty or burny is typically a good sign of damage) and check the phase leads for shorts to see if it’s repairable.

It will work but add some additional height.

Thanks so much, very useful mate. no signs of shorts or burns on the ESC but still it doesn’t work. Tomorrow i’ll receive backups ESC to try, i hope the motors will prove to work well. in the meantime, i got in touch with flipsky for assistance… not sure if i should try send it back to china right away of first dare to change the leads / connectors. i dont want to send it to china but neither i want to void the warranty by trying to fix it myself

yea, its allready mounted and working, but i had to do guesswork on the angle because i dont know what the lines engraved on the baseplate indicate… like are they steps of 5 degrees in each direction from center or whatever ?

Given the current state of affairs, I’d also be averse to sending it to China…
In terms of repair, perhaps talk to one of these fine fellows:

Pretty sure they are 5 degrees. Work from 0 and then negate the angle of the deck.

Don’t just commit to 0 degrees.

Take your tools to a big parking lot and fine tune it to your preferences. Definitely takes a minute, but totally worth the effort.

im a bit torn about the setting…
ive read that on tkp wedging the front is not as beneficial as on rkps… but yea the solution is just to go try, like you say

Nah there is a tiny bit of space in mine as well… not sure if the foamies/ cloud wheel is a bit different than day the 107s. I wasn’t sure about it at first but hasn’t seemed to be an issue so far but then again I could be wrong hahaha

One more query…it looks like i need to buy a can bus cable to connect the 2 FSescs… does anyone know where to buy these in EU?

I do not have one, so unless i can build it, i need to buy it. Thanks in advance!

This is definitely an issue. If the wheel is not fitted properly to the motor, the core of the wheel will take a beating when accelerating and braking. Try moving the wheel back and forth the wheel while holding the motor in your hands, it should make some noise. Cloud wheels / foamies have a shitty ABEC core :frowning:

Thanks a lot yea I had them on for like one ride and said fuck it. Threw the TB110s back on. If I do use any abecs with the DD it’ll be the 107s. Thanks again.

It’s 2x JST 4 pin 2.00mm pitch cables using only the middle two pins (Can H and Can L) in parallel. If you cant find anyone to give/sell you one let me know and I’ll send one over, but I’m from Canada so it’s probably the least efficient solution.

BTW, I think it’s the adaptor, not the wheel. My Foamies fit snug on the same ABEC pulley that my 107s used.
