May I ask how you change the selected com? I might of done that process wrong

On the top left is a “Connection” tab. Click on it. Bow there should be a drop down menu where you can choose 1 or 2 COMS. Click on the corresponding and go to reconnect on the right.

Also, have you tried using the USB 1 port on your VESC? (Parallel to the one you are using now)

It might sound dumb, but power everything down and reboot your PC. Power everything back up. Try to connect again.

So I tried once again. Auto connect wouldn’t work but When I put to com 4 and clicked connect in the top right this happend.

Click that away and go to Firmware.

Yes. 10chars.

Really important that once the green bar finishes, you don’t unplug or do anything for 10-15 seconds while it writes and reboots.

Yep ive clicked it and it was done like 30secounds ago should be all good now?
Do I just turn off esc and then disconnect the usb cable and turn on esc then connect cable or?

No, should be good to go after reboot.

Is it just hooked to battery or do you have your motors ready for detection?

hooked upto battery and motors ready for detection :slight_smile: thank you. It wont auto connect but when I connect it via com4 and the connect button top right it connected without saying anything this time
