@Trampa Quick question. Have your Vescs a Serial Number?
@Andy87 i think this question is for you
Do you prefer Mbs T2 9’’ tires or Trampa’s Primo Striker’s 9’’?
Has anyone used the 3dServisas dual focbox Heatsink in the Eboosted vanguard ESC enclosure?
Just want to ask a few questions about how you went about fitment… Really confused as to how I can make this work the ‘best’
Is there a deck skinning guide anywhere? I thought sender or yelnats made one but I cant find it.
I don’t remember it being it’s own thread but pieces of others here and there. You might get some info from this thread though.
I recommend just having @Sender do it. It takes a ton of time and money to get right, so why not have a pro do it.
Generally bigger batteries are better because you have more range, as well as less load on the battery in terms of C. (C is the RC term of amps per Ah. A 1Ah battery being discharged at 1A, is at 1C. one times the capacity. Higher C is harder on the battery.)
If it will physically fit, then 14Ah is just as good as, if not better than, 12Ah. 16 or 18Ah is better still, but any will work as long as the voltage is the same and they can supply enough current.

oh how i missed this… sorry…
I never tried the trampa 9" primos, but i very much like my T2 tires.
They have a big contact area and you could pimp them up with studs for winter if needed. Maybe not the best tires for high speed, but they roll just over everything.
Just to refesh it. If a VESC states 40 amps continous. Thats Per Motor or combined?
Generally depends on if it’s a single or dual
Second this! I did it on a junk deck for a practice, boy am I glad I didn’t do it on a new 180€ deck lol
per motor
Well Single Vesc but then connected via Can.
If your vesc tool configuration is 40 battery amps and 40 motor amps, that’s 40 per vesc, AKA per motor. Total of 80.
but because the max duty cycle of a vesc is 95%, if you set your motor limit to 40a motor, then you will never quite be able to draw 40a battery. the most battery current you’ll be able to draw will be roughly 40a motor * 0.95 max duty = 38a battery. to actually get 40a battery, you’ll have to set the motor current limit to about 42.1a = 40a bat / 0.95 max duty.
And to take that one step further, to get really good low-speed torque and acceleration without a monstrous battery, you can set the motor current quite a bit higher than that - I went with 40 battery and 65 motor. Really improves the launch.
guys I have an odd question. I want more sound from my carvons. They are too silent and I am a bit bored.
So I put them in BLDC mode and they whine nicely but after a certain speed, they go quiet again. I want these bitches to whine all the way to hell and back. Is it possible?
Only when you pin the throttle will they really make a lot of noise. torque drives or speed drives?
Torque
i will look into it properly tomorrow.
