do “lifetime” warranties refer to the product or the purchaser?

Would imagine it depends on warranty fine print.

Some companies define it as “as long as owned by purchaser”
Others " the reasonable life of the product - seven years from installation"

Why dont you like HDT3m?

More likely to skip

The smaller teeth mean each tooth can transfer less torque, and also the belt has to be tighter to prevent skipping because the belt only has to be able to move 3mm to jump over a tooth rather than 5mm for an HTD5m belt. The tighter belt means more stress on the belt and other components such as shafts and bearings, as well as more friction losses.

There are applications where smaller pitch is desirable, such as in 3d printers where the minimum number of teeth and thus the diameter of the pulleys can be smaller, but IMHO there’s no reason to use them in esk8.

It looks like 26awg,

That’s next to a 10awg, it might be 22awg though. Let me whip out a ruler

Yeah 22awg looks about right

Same size as balance leads, they have a print but I can’t read it. I’m only charging at 4a though

Negative has a fuse on it, another question, is it okay to use larger awg wire for let’s say my negative wire? The negative goes through the bms

This is why

Black little box is my fusebox

Is a weak link😕 I need someone to work on this with me if I’m going to continue using this battery

Why not replace it for peace of mind?

Very limited resources as I promised myself I wouldn’t spend any money this month on esk8, as I need to buy a newer car

What do you need? I have tons of wires. PM

Keep your high and low amp systems seperate in everyway. Don’t use the same connector for the battery/loopkey as you would for charging. Keep them completely incompatible in terms of connectors. Safety first.

Try to wire your board according to the amp capabilities of the wire used and connectors too. Use a xt90s on your battery and loopkey connections by all means but don’t go soldering a 22awg cable onto one for a charge port. For one its stupid overkill and 2 it can burn your house down if you make a mistake and we all make mistakes. Keep your charging port low amp or just a different connector.
