Archived: the OG noob question thread! 😀

That’s only if you buy 1000 or more, don’t have any employees, have a free building to store your stuff in, have free electricity and internet, don’t ship stuff, don’t pay taxes, never lost a shipment or had a disgruntled customer, never made a mistake, don’t need any other supplies to make the battery, didn’t spend any money practicing on battery-making-skills, you work for free yourself, and you get free shipping supplies.

So no, it absolutely did NOT cost $30 to make. Probably about $250

Didnt mean it in a bad way, I was just surprised at the cost compare to samsung or panasonic cells that"s all.
Yeah of course there are a lot of thing to consider building it
They are selling this pack for 178 dollars.

Does anyone know what kind of sensor wires fit into the FVT sleeping lion 120A single ESCs?

It’s got 6 pins.

Measure the distance from pin to pin and look at this table of jst connectors. I’m going to guess jst ph 6 pin just for fun.

Oo, I think it’s SH

Isn’t it more simple to find a BMS compatible with my battery pack since it has such a low discharge rate?
Or does it have to be the specific discharge rate and can’t be superior?

Something like that won’t work?

Many will work, but this is an important safety device and you don’t want to use cheap stuff. I just provided a link of one which will probably work. Many others will work.

Yeah ok thanks indeed i don’t want my house on fire
I can’t see any buy button on the https://bestechpower.com website.

Do you know how long it take to ship to Europe?

Bestech is a manufacturer, buy them from their Litech distributer on the link above. They have more 10S models, just ensure “balance current for single cell” rating is not missing.

Thanks mate!

Well i was searching on the actual BMS to look for failure in soldering and i saw that

Could it be the problem and not the actual BMS?

I didnt pull agressively so it’s not me that got it unsoldered

Absolutely.
If I see something like this, the whole pack becomes suspect. A loose balance wire can burn your house to the ground.
Stay safe friend!

Should i put back the cable under the cell or leave it like that?

Haha, you mean like sweep it under the rug? Lol!
Others may have different opinions on this, but if a crappy weld led to one balance wire coming loose, consider that all those welds were made the same day on the same machine by the same person… so you will likely find other wires on the verge of coming loose.

In an end-of-days scenario, I would re-work the pack completely… i.e. Strip it down to bare cells and start over. This would be more work than just making a new battery, since you have to dissasemble it before you start. Realistically, I’d sell it for scrap value, get new cells and build Or buy a new battery.

The batteries we use in these skates are very powerful. They demand respect and caution at all times and relaxing your guard can lead to catastrophe very quickly. My .02.

Give it to someone you don’t like. IMO My neighbour.

Insulate that loose wire so it dosen’t short the rest of the pack accidentally.

Then give it to someone you don’t like.
(Obviously joking…Recycle that battery properly)

Edit:
Consider this an opportunity to upgrade your battery to something with even MORE POWER (maniacal laughter)

Same ideas 💁

I had my first issue with a flipsky 4.20 plus - setup using the wizard…being a dumb-ass I thought I would try FOC it seemed to be fine on the bench , did a very quick test moving itself - one side seemed to have less power and while I was investigating … one side locked up and no longer turns on.

Does anyone in the EU fix flipsky duals?
