Sorry about the lack of activity from me, I’ve was on holiday in Scotland last weekend. I’ve been trying my best to promote the dives elsewhere, and planning how to move forward. It may well be that I wait until my business has built up some capital from EUC sales before going ahead with manufacturing the first batch of gear drives. We would then sell them as a stocked item rather than a pre-order, as it seams like most people are not willing to wait for a pre-order.

Good idea I think over the next week or so I will put together a tear down video of the gear drives so people can see what they look like after 6 months of use, and how the drives generally fit together and function.
Thanks mate I’ve has similar feedback from a lot of people stating that would love to buy the drives if they were in stock and ready for immediate dispatch. As I said to @Bavioze that may be the rout we take if the pre-order is not successful, yourself and others give me confidence that people would buy them. We would still sell the first batch at a discounted rate and would consider providing sets to reviewers also.

Here is a video of me riding my board with the V2 prototypes installed. For the V2s one of the major design changes was reducing all the dead space within the drive in an attempt to keep the grease close to the gear teeth, this also had an effect of reducing the noise.

The BN drives have bolt threads slotted through untapped holes in the hub adapter I believe, I saw photos of the metal flogging out as well, that’s why I took a different approach.
The hub mount on my drives accepts the M4 bolt heads which have much larger radius (7mm) compared to the bolt threads themselves and thus less of a pressure point on the aluminium hub mount. The bolt heads are also smooth rather than serrated like the bolt threads, this allowed the use of a slight press fit into the hub mount. There is no sign of wear after 6 months of use and no play in the fit either.
