Try these steps?

After the FOC detection, you need to set the shutdown time on the APP page before the button will take effect

Kind of yes. I noticed if I press too quickly it’ll only power on one side then I’m in a weird state. So whenever I power on I hold the power button for 3-5 seconds.

Okay well i think the issue had to do with setting up the button in vesc tool, but for some reason, I can’t get vesc tool to connect to either dv6 over Bluetooth or over usb. Any ideas? @YUTW123

Setup the button in VESC tool? I don’t think I’ve ever had to do that, what do you have to do?

See my reply above haha

Lol what? I didn’t realize it was that complicated, dafuq.

Guessing you’ve already tried all the usb ports and all the UART ports?

I’ve tried all usb ports.

Is there a way to do it over uart? I was under the impression it was just Bluetooth and usb. Or did you mean try all micro-usb ports?

Yes well I can’t do what you recommended until I can actually connect the vesc to vesc tool

He has a different version than you I believe. The new 16mm switch is plugged into and programmed through the UART.

Did you ever get that VESC issue figured out?

Yeah there was something wrong with the MCU so I’m sending it in to MakerX to get repaired

Did you have can connected before you plugged in the esc power leads?

No I did not

Finally got the VESCs fixed. Should be able to keep working this weekend and hopefully get her rideable soon.

I also acquired some infinity hubs from @zero_ads that I plan on throwing on.
Should I use Berg adapters or kegel?

You’ll need kegel I believe, unless berg works too I never tried.

I was told they work but I havent seen anybody do it

Only on berg screw pattern, you can’t use the berg adapters for the M1 GD, I use Kegel on my infinity hub / M1 combo.

Kegal seems like a better interface.
I found the berg adaptors would develop play in time on berg hubs

Fair enough. Kegel it is.
