No idea. But i’ve never heard of any catastrophic failures with them

they’re literally superstar rims without the trampa text I believe. They’re subject to the same poor tollerances.

Well that’s disappointing, any suggestions for a better hub that I can get with some red anodized on black?

This is serious derail territory, lets get the fuck out of here before Q comes and beats us down with a soggy Lonestar.

Their site is so bad idk how anyone ever managed to order from there, that alone turned my off from ever buying from them lol

Yes let’s please try keep this thread on topic.

@ZachTetra there’s a reason we use mbs hubs. Yes, they are not the most shiny. But they are strong, light, robust and don’t break the bank. If you want some red then anodised screws and nuts go a long way to add a hint of colour.

@mr.shiteside open source works for some buisness models but not all.

Apex are interested in innovating and that R&D doesn’t come for free. For hardware, If we published our source files then others who don’t have r&d costs or haven’t spent hundreds of hours testing can make and sell our product cheaper. This in turn means we have less budget for future innovations.

For now we’re still a small company, we need to focus on growth. With growth comes economies of scale, allowing us to offer better products at reduced costs. With growth also comes more resources for developing new technologies as well as potentially allowing us to invest more into open source or community driven projects.

Additionally there is other ways to give back to the community. Despite being a small company apex is also sponsoring local events and donating prizes to competitions. We recently donated a full set of APEX AIRS as the main prize for overall winner at EEB-IT completion, as well as some other smaller prizes.

If others are interested in making accessories then we’re more than happy to help them with the information they need. As it stands we’ve worked with moon, etoxx, boardnamics and IDEA to ensure there drives are compatible. If anyone else is interested to make compatible accessories then we are happy to help out.

Oh cool, didn’t know that god shit

some quick info on the ninja hubs the rims aren’t quite as strong as trampa superstar, not much in it tbh. (frank did a video awhile back ‘showing’ how weak they are, but frank got soyboi arms). imo if you can break these in use you got bigger problems then a broken wheel.

It means we’re getting very off topic again.

Actually I’m in the middle of redesigning them. The latest Haero Bro has inserts in a slightly different place - @Haeroboards will be talking about this soon. So we are redesigning them - hence why they are OOS at the moment.

Our Apex predator rolling chassis is once again available! Unfortunately we are out of bindings right now but they should be available from the middle of November. This features the 2021 shape Haero Bro but with our black and white Apex graphics :ok_hand:
