Anybody tried an ergonomic rear foot wedge (aka "torque block")?

My back leg’s calf muscle is super sore riding a longboard style deck. Could be my deconditioning (hard gym session recently), but the leg feels so much better when riding MTB style deck and resting on the angled tail. I understand that SRB race board decks have a tail to brace against for hard acceleration. I wonder whether a much less extreme version of this may help with riding comfort. DH longboarders have this rear foot wedge (they call “torque block”). Anybody with an experience with this?

Someone in the scene makes/made these “skate the wedge” years ago. @MoeStooge I feel like you would know who created these. I got mine from psychotiller/Dave.

I have a riptide footstop up front and a newbee footstop in the back. This gives a real solid locked in feeling that is easy to jump off when things go sideways.
