Aluminium Drop down brackets?

That was in the riptide brackets thread, wasn’t it?
I posted something similar but someone mentioned it would lead to a variable truck angle (the more weight, the more angle) and could be problematic
[EDIT] ah too late

and that person failed to realize on a flexible board the truck angle will always be variable

Indeed

what my ill timed sketch was an effort at limiting and damping the variable truck/angle limits

Much too small spring, but it’s a concept

yeah good concept…

but in a small package It’s much easier to engineer compression and rebound in 'thane than a steel spring and a shock absorber

It’s an improved design, I hope to test aluminum and stainless

There is a common factor between bowlers and french people, they want as much strikes as possible xD

Second version.

This one has more “aggressive” drop, meaning it shorter and with smaller bend radius than the previous one

Did a small weight reduction where it connects to the deck

And there’s a need to revise this a bit, the bend is very close to the cutout, then this happens

There will be a notch there to eliminate this (learning the neuances of sheet metal bending)

Will try to test these tomorrow,

Dani

Still aluminium?

I like the aggressive drop a lot
Let’s hope this one will hold
