Entire deck is heatsink… crank that ESC!
Aw yes. No wires. I can see it now.
Totally agree on that plus it looks much nicer. Phillips is kinda cheap. Hex is da thing!
TBH the newer variants of Torx are pretty dank…
Hex is undeniably the most convenient tho.
I was planning on using insex but my local hardware store had no countersunk insex and im an impatient man
I think im going to order a tourqe direct drive kit for the front. There is no clearance to use anyting else.
@torqueboards does the front truck play nice with other trucks? In my specific case i have a tb218mm on the rear.
Not sure what you’re asking?
Beautiful deck - without the frit!
Sorry, my cold medicine may have gotten to me.
Im using a tb218 truck/hanger inte rear of the esk8 and im planning on using a tb direct drive kit in the front. I dont know much about skating stuff so im just asking if that will work?
It sure is. However i need to stay on the board and not glide off it so the frit stays
Yeah, it would. But TB DD also comes with CNC Trucks Front & Back.
Already have a gear drive for the rear. I would switch over but im pretty sure the motor/gearmount would not fit
Yeah, you could ride both if you wanted too.
I’d check the gear drive might fit. TORQUE CNC Trucks hanger profile is 18mm x 18mm so it’s pretty close to a caliber truck profile.
Ah,ill take a look then
Can you elaborate on the “newer variant” part? I thought torx was torx?
Just look at torx Wikipedia page
Board is done,im gonna wait a few weeks untill the epoxy is less dangerous and sand it down smooth. Or im gonna let my friend do some custom graphics to the enclosure
The deck with the last layer of epoxy. I havent cleaned the board up yet. Might also brush the middle aluminium piece.
Not 100% happy with it but its gonna be completely clear so you can see the brushed aluminium after its completely hardened in a few weeks. The textured surface im not sure if i like or dislike.
Feels like a dirty aircraft wing unfortunately…
A lot cooler then a wooden board from the 1920’s then i havent cleaned or detailed it though. I problably wont though since i ride it in all weather. Mud or snow aint a thing
