hot glue comes in colors.
Shakedown ride with the new parts went well, nothing broke or fell off so that’s a win for me.
Board continues to impress, caught a little offroad trail today and the board handled way better than i even hoped it would, super stoked.
#08 copped it’s first battle scar… #10 seems reasonably unscathed… for now.

The bullbar uses an m5x12 mm button head screw to locate into the hanger, and little baby screws into the pipe handle
The rear handle mount uses m4x10 socket heads and the same teeny screws.
the pipe is PVC pressure pipe from Bunnings → https://www.bunnings.com.au/holman-15mm-x-1m-pvc-pressure-pipe-class-18_p4750046
If you gonna do this, sand the pipe really well with 400grit and use an oil based enamel spray paint.
What is this unholy abomination
DuckPuckFuckFuckFuck
Ooh these are all solid suggestions…
I like DuckPuckBruceFuck.
Seriously tho, the bruce shape lends itself so well to gloved use, @DerelictRobot did a great job. I’m just making it better now
Printing a dummy to test the shape before i go any further with this one
New title please
This is exciting. DuckPuckBruceFuck AKA DPBF AKA and hereforth known as DeeP BeeF has been born into the real world and shows promise!
Tweaks were necessary, the bit for the middle finger was too long and didnt feel right, the shape of the corner that sits in the palm didnt feel good, and it was a little too deep at the back…
But in general it felt a LOT better than the first attempt, so progress is being made
The tweaks have been made and DeeP BeeF v2 is in the bambu oven.
Will see how this one feels and then i have one more idea i want to try with it before finalising and adding screw holes etc
Not even gonna try the other thing i wanted to do (put a small pinky rest on the bottom shell), it feels great for me as is.
Will add the rest of the details to the design tonight and hopefully have a functional version tomorrow
Such a busy bee!!!
Stoked to see you riding this so much.
I feel like DeeP BeeF is ready for action, will give it a once over in the morning before printing it.
Got pretty damn wet this evening, opened it up and all good inside
But drivetrain sounds terrible now. I think the belts dont sound good when they’re wet and i think i may also have some slight alignment issues with the mounts… time will tell!
I’ve noticed my radium belts skip more when wet. It’s a way more graceful skip than regular belts, they don’t seem to get damaged as much by skipping.
y’know, this shape looks like such a trigger remote shape, how difficult would it be to rotate the PCB almost 180 so that the throttle is where the corner sits? idk i’m just thinking
Can’t really just turn it around, would need to be redesigned but i got no desire for a trigger remote so its not really something i’d pursue.
Mine sound fucking horrible
I’m hearing more than belts I’m thinking
Yeah it sounds like the motors are chewing on rocks
But only in forward, not reverse
I personally like the name “Hoyt Duck”
