I think its just the R6 trucks prefer Krank. I spent a good while trying lots of combinations of APS and Krank testing back to back. Maybe RTS is making Krank more fun as you can really put a lot of energy into the bushings and bounce off of them by releasing the throttle momentarily.
If the info boxes are not enough, we’re going to have a video on tuning RTS. I’m just a bit behind on video editing recently
But for urethane wheels you’ll definitely want to turn down RTS strength for both braking and acceleration to avoid wheel spin/lock up.
Love your work @glyphiks ! Ended up using the 2 mm spacers with the latest version, it fits quite well, 2.75mm was too thick. I struggled a little bit with the lock Nuts spinning inside but that’s because I was scrounging / cutting up bolts that I had lying around. Having the correct fully threaded 30 mm Bolts would be better - maybe 35 mm even so that it’s easier to get the thread started. I printed with tree support, it would’ve been much easier with having no support inside the holes, might even increase the infill around the holes for more strength, I printed with 15% over everything
Definitely interesting to note that the 2mm spacers were good and the nuts were spinning. You could potentially try scaling it down a fraction to try prevent that.
There’s definitely some printer tolerance differences between our setups!
Perhaps in future designs that I intend on sharing I’ll make any pieces that house nuts as small independent pieces that’s how I would design it if I wanted to print the handle in TPU anyway.
Haha i’ll do it for sure. I’ve always wanted to try running a 3dp pulley and the way the Radium kegel adapter is designed lends itself perfectly to the idea. I can just design my pulley and bolt it on to the kegel dicks.
I can’t promise a time frame though, projects are starting to bank up right now…
Cherry what the wheels you got on there can you make a photo up close / for the wear and tear damage. Trying to see how Freindly the wheels break in but I see plenty of small chucks in your current photo also how many Km /miles
With those coarse (quarry gravel?) trails he took us on, not surprised! Fine sandy gravel is okay, the rough stuff not so much. Reckon a lot of that wear came from that day…
Got the zmote installed keen to see what it’s like!
I’ve left the puck receiver in the board so that if I want/need i can just plug that back in.
Have tinkered with the idea of being able to switch between the receivers with a remote controlled relay, but I don’t like the idea of the relay failing and leaving me remoteless.
A physical switch could also be employed, but I don’t really want to install one on the outside of the board.
Open to (safe) ideas on being able to switch between receivers remotely!!
Honestly the cleanest way to switch between remotes would be a software solution… This might not be an option for the machone. Please dont cut a hole for an ugly hardware switch
If I were going to use a hardware switch I would design a housing to fit in here… i could use the same hole the RTS sensor wire passes through so as not to damage the board
Your handle model is awesome @glyphiks! I grabbed your .step file and did a little modding for it to fit the trucks on my DIY board, took the opportunity to add some lines inspired by the rear lights on the Quadra from cyberpunk. Really useful handle and it’s looking great, thanks for the design!
