I would be concerned about mounting the motor and having the u channel bend inward. Im thibking maybe a solid c shape motor mount that mounts to the main bracket.
this is true they are slightly off.
Sorry guys, just a quick vid, just having fun, not like anything built here, but still just trying

It looks like a electric freebord so welcome! haha
Thanks man:grin:
Hi
I know this is a little off topic, but is a single centre mounted caster, a bad idea, with a decent hub motor or belt; gear ext would you still be able to generate enough power torque speed ext, Or would it just remain under power. If anyone here as tried it, or can give pro’s and cons.
Thank you
Yesterday I ride my board with only one SBX motor because something went wrong with my VESC settings… I was able to ride it just fine but it was underpowered
Valid question for sure. I made a fully functional single center prototype in 2019. It works but the two caster version is closer to snowboarding in my opinion.
Check my IG for picks and clips of the prototype.
Perfect, thank you. Will do👍

Thanks for your reply, I know Im beating down a dead horse here…Do you have any Idea what the power rating is on one of your sbx motors.
Thanks man
They are 1500 watt each so far I know
Wow……my board has 1 x 150 watt hub motor…
I must rebuild
New version, this should hold the motor mount part in place.
Stand off addition? Nice idea!
Im realizimg the bolts only go through the mounting part and not the whole bracket. I misunderstood the design initally.
To support the modular thought of the build, I’m going to separate the motor mount from the main caster. This way you could add a hub motor without the motor mount part.
Ahhh thats perfect thank you, great idea
Made a new shape, wider and an extra layer of glass fiber to support more weight. Had to cut out som corners to avoid wheel bite. Still working on the finish but getting there.
Exited about the casters, waiting for them to get to Sweden. They are currently in Holland with @leen where he finetuned and ordered them and also printed the motor mount in PET-CF. We’ve been working on this together and trying to make it as ridable as possible for a large caster wheel. I think the mounts looks really cool, we’ll see if they hold up later.
