Sizzle sizzle maybe I should leave the dv6 in then

I had weird issues pairing my puck v2 to my dv6 pro it bugged out on vesc tool hard
have you had issues pairing the v2 puck to that vesc?

It shouldn’t matter what vesc is connected. You can give a puck rx 5v with no vesc and it should still connect fine. First thing to check always is your connections

@jack.luis I guess I should clarify the puck is paired to the receiver no problem but.. the Vesc input setup goes nuts on me and wipes all settings once I get to that point.

That sounds like a vesc tool thing, I also had wiped settings trying to run input setup wizard. The solution is to do the input setup without using the wizard which is actually also pretty quick in the desktop tool (no idea about mobile)

Turn on RT app data, set vesc with receiver to ppm or ppm+uart, go to ppm tab, it will be showing the values as you move the throttle. Record full forward and full backward then there should be an apply button somewhere. That’s pretty much it. Then setup control mode to current with smart reverse or current bidirectional or whichever you prefer.

I did it both ways, using setup wizard aswell as going to the actual page and did it manually and it still did the same shit which was so bizzare

Damn, gotcha. Manual has always worked for me but the wizard was iffy at best and usually resetting all app settings.

Anyone have any idea what this is?
Really odd…

Dead hall sensors?

@tuckjohn Idk I hope not … I didn’t treat these motors poorly at all I in fact barely ran them.
Gonna try and rerun it through Vesc tool rn to see what’s up.

Something might be way wrong I initially set it up with smart reverse and it still says smart reverse when I booted it up

but doesn’t actually reverse

Shit you were right :(((( hfi here I come

Does anyone know how to set up current Smart reverse in Vesc tool where HFI doesn’t Counteract it?

I have current smart reverse on, and for some reason it still doesn’t reverse, which is weird

Never mind, I figured it out. My PPM just needed to be recalibrated because it was out of value threshold or whatever.

Do you still have your belt drive motor mounts? There was a guy on Facebook asking about a belt drive conversion for his Z3; I linked him here to your thread (hi to said guy if he actually reads this)

I might have thrown them away I need to check but I think I threw em away

I have the prototype ones that I made for my open gear drive that would work though
@AlexB

She rides again tho

I need to find that setting and fine-tune it that makes it feel like it has a turbo boost lag

The Throttle seems to continue on for a short second after I let off of it and that’s kind of dangerous

I’m gonna enjoy it for a while and just ride it carefully and then probably attack vesc again

I think Otis hates open gear drives & HFI he much prefers the metroboard with hall sensors and belts
