100d v2 **
I was being lazy

Some components were swapped to allow better function. Others were changed because of shortages but keep the same qualities.

And another UART enabled?

Well yes. Slipped my mind. When 5.3 rolls out, they should all function correctly

do you know if that second uart ā€œsplitā€ or is it a full uart? I just plan on using a davega on it, but I’m curious

Pretty sure split is technically what the older ones have and that is considered to be dangerous

I have my robo plugged in it eagerly waiting to get to work. I tested 5.3 for a couple days and they work fine. Other fields needed ironing so I’m back on 5.2 waiting for my greenlight

I can confirm both uart ports on my 60d+ started working on 5.3 FW and only one worked on 5.2 FW.

Unfortunately I ran into some issues with it controlling my motors well and found it to be unrideable for now. Several users have brought an issue up to BV about incorrect resistance and inductance measurements so hopefully it is an easy fix.

I’m of the same opinion. I report directly to Jeff

I have a v1 xenith not used since the Aussie group buy - is there anything I can do to help my chances of it not failing like other v1s have?

Use a loop key rather than the switch.

Some unity/xenith live perfectly happy lives without the switch ever blowing. Some don’t. It really is luck of the draw.

Funny story.

I checked the tracking on the Xeniths I ordered, to find that 1 of the 2 orders was scanned ā€œReturn to Senderā€.

The other was delivered.

Since I live 3 blocks from my post office, I went there and asked, and they were able to find the package.

Turns out the package with 2 Xeniths in it was sent with insufficient postage, and was marked to send back. They do that because over the years of sending postage due notices to the sender, they never come back with the due postage. So they started sending packages back.

I paid the extra postage (not much, it was only $4.50), got my package, and felt lucky since I had gotten there before they loaded a truck and sent it back.

What bugs me is that I placed 2 orders. For both, was charged the $8.75 for shipping. And for both, they sent it via 1st Class which generally costs like $4-5.

I live a 25 minute drive from their Long Island location. I’d have gotten the packages quickly anyway, so that’s not what I care about.

What I care about is paying one amount for shipping, having a lesser amount used for that shipping, and THEN that lesser amount leading to me not even getting the order.

Not ok @BuildKitBoards . Not ok.

If you ordered more than 1 Xenith recently, I’d recommend checking your tracking or reaching out and checking if they used the correct postage.

You know, so you actually get the order.

Wow that’s ridiculous lol

That’s within the US too, it’s supposed to be easy to send within the US

Yes. They’re on Long Island. I’m 3 blocks from the Long Island border. I drive to get my shipping supplies much farther than they are from me.

This is mildly infuriating, but I legitimately laughed out loud when I opened the package.

Gotta reduce costs somehow
