unfortunately, no.

@Evwan Why not just cut the screw down to leave a minimum safe amount of thread exposed past the nut?

I’m lazy. I have a solution in the mail anyways, so I’m not gonna worry. I have other boards to ride

One of the guys i kno got 3mm poron xrd i think and put it under griptape says its nice or just cut some of it to same size of insoles and you got the most shock resistant soles

Yeah I’d love to make my own foamy grip tape in some cool colors. We’ll see

Colors get a bit tricky. PORON comes in plenty of colors… but each one has different behavior. The good XRD shit is always yellow from what I’ve seen. It’s exactly what they used to make pushin cushion. Being yellow, you may be able to dye it. At least like green or orange or something dark. Probably not blue.
Also worth mentioning: poron XRD is some of the best stuff for absorbing impact shock. While sorbothane is better for dampening vibrations. I’m not too sure and haven’t tested, but I think sorbothane would be better for easing foot fatigue, while poron would be better for actually hitting rough terrain.

This is crazy talk. I just wanted to stick some sandpaper to some neoprene. Gonna jump down this rabbit hole some other time for sure.

Yeah imma probably order up some interesting foams and rubbers… When I use up the rest of this 12 foot roll of cheapo rubber.

So little shit, which is the nickname for this thing, got some love on the track yesterday. It turns pretty damn well thanks to the 50 degree baseplates.

This thing is powerful for it’s size. I have two newbee footstops on their way (one for each foot). Hopefully it’ll make me more confident with this thing over bumps. It’s mega sketch rn.

Sooooo I emailed TB and asked them if they had any more. It seems they have one that’s pretty scratched up but ITS BLUE. Yum. If I don’t keep it, I already have 2 people interested in taking it off my hands (for what I paid, obviously)

prototype #2 of the hole cover.

its coming along great.

also, the popocas made a huge difference, plus I threw my newbee footstop on the board. It’s turning out to be an amazing ride.

smaller grip tape pieces are falling off, because those are never a great idea
