The black baseplates and gopro mount threw me off the scent

Don’t tell me you own one of these too!

More importantly don’t tell me I’m giving you ideas.

No moto, most expect that I do ride.

Night y’all. Hopefully I can report tomorrow something better than I know red loctite is curiously sweet tasting.

First run on 190kv 6389s from lacroix. 4x Outboard configuration, 18t/44t/200mm

Motors outboard is significantly more stable than inboard. Wasn’t the fastest run, but it was so punchy.

I’m not sure where second set should sit. High outboard, or low inboard?

High outboard looks like it might require you to move the trucks back or chop the deck?

Those misaligned motors are triggering me dude.

That’s weird why outboard feels better then inboard… But that’s a 78.7mph unweighted top speed :exploding_head::crazy_face:

I think low inboard would look better and have better cable management… Also, if a motor mount loosens it won’t take out the other at the same time

I know, I know, I was racing the sunset. I’ve never used (Or made ) cross mounts before.

I’ll Cut slots for them and use steel or thicker aluminum.

I’m ok with some chop action. I think that’s preferable to moving trucks out. As it is, I need to add some reinforcements to the necks. :call_me_hand:

If you mount them inboard, are the motors lower than the hanger and/or enclosure?

Inboard seems more balanced, at the risk of motor damage

There are always steel threaded rods

They are a few degrees above horizontal. Enclosure isn’t any were near. About on the same line tho.

Could you bolt a little aluminum or something plate under the inboard motors?

Could protect them more :man_shrugging:

I’m kinda liking the inboard option. Balance seems like it would be important here.

I think so too. Belts may not be viable. I ended up
With a 4x set of @CiscoV Janux spur drives. I bet designing A double motor mount plate for his drives (and most others for that matter) wouldn’t be to hard.

I’ve got cad apps on my iPad now, I’m going to cleanup the Royal mess I made trying to get those motors mounted, Order chipotle, put on “the tiger king” , and learn me some computer aided design.

You out accelerating the motorcycle is pure gold :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Dual motors per wheel running gear drive would be insane instantaneous torque!

Probs Not with this guy, he didn’t care, but an all out Esk8 (see above postings :sunglasses:) could embarrass most petrol to 30-40mph the same way Tesla sedans and mini vans (p100d) bully Zuffenhausen engineers to 60.

You own a Zuffenhausenauto :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

That’s my standard to beat to 30-40mph. Not a turbo tho, just a 997.2s. Maybe I’ll get @klause to drive it against me once I get my shit together and the plague clears up.

He drove the shit out of a Nissan Pathfinder rental through hairpin mountain Roads in Arizona. I have telemetry On Gopro.:grimacing:
