read the thread you missed out.

@torqueboards perhaps update the top post/your site to make this clear?

Yeah @Fosterqc is correct, P42A.

Feeling pretty good about the enclosure as well. Very sturdy. A minor quality issue with the side cutouts, but @torqueboards is already handling it.

By the way, the DROK Battery meter from Amazon works with the fiberglass enclosure: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LQ7MT4K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Also, this charge port fits great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S5ZLFDG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The third hole is a bit too large for the Unity switch, but I’ll fill it with epoxy and drill it to a smaller diameter.

Getting ready to wire up the 12S4P P42A battery

It’s honestly quite a shame that these 2 don’t go together without issues. If anyone had an incentive to create a drop down drop through deck with the ends thin enough to support direct drives, it would be Torqueboards :stuck_out_tongue:

I am hoping I will have better luck with DKP DD.

Those will definitely work, many have done it :+1:

The torqueboard 40
Came today I am over the moon
I am rethinking my build I don’t want to cut into this deck to install the 30cm matrix display. I am thinking of using the TB40 As my Direct Drive rebuild. And using my Evo as the led nightmare build “Luminar”
I also got a box of Moli I hope to get 2 packs from.
But my super special ups delivery from Canada was delayed till tomorrow. Very happy with the build quality the box was a bit fucked up. But Dex had done a stellar job of packing and zero damage to the deck enclosure trucks ect…only thing I am disappointed with is the axel length of the precision trucks. Not long enough for press fits.

Finally got my things! Overall very happy, but has anyone experienced something like this? Would normal wood glue or epoxy and some clamps be able to fix this? It’s barely hanging on by a few strands of wood

Nothing’s fixing that.

Really? :sob: Oh I guess it’s worse that it’s a drop through.

FAAAAAAAAAAKK
If I put bolts through these and try to fasten it’s probably gonna snap.

@ZachTetra you do woodworking. Is this salvageable?

Yeah, unrideable. Don’t take that chance.

Yeah, don’t ride that.

Did you use the countersink bolts and just bolt through the top?

You need a top plate.

My Hummie got damaged in delivery and was similar. Got a replacement. Seems like a pretty important part of a deck…
Anything can be fixed tho, fibreglass plate top and bottom like a sandwich. @glyphiks repaired ends of a butchered demonseed deck a little while back. But given it’s supposed to be new, why do that here?

I literally just opened the box and was about to epoxy the inserts. It came like this

And it didn’t come with a base plate

@Jujo oh got it. Will PM you.

Too??¿ :eyes::penguin::doughnut:

If you top mount the deck and use a big deck protector it will be okay, but if you drop mount that absolutely not

We have different definitions of that word. This is structurally flawed now.
