I just got a new Pinecil soldering iron, and decided to make myself a nice little organizer case for it.

Just one problem: My printer just isn’t big enough - Printer can do ~150x150x170mm, and the case is two pieces, each about 185mm by 75mm, which is too big even if I put it diagonal.

Would some kind soul be willing to help a guy out? I’m really not picky about filament type or color, as long as it’s decently strong. Total filament mass of ~160g or so.

I’m still waiting on my computer parts to arrive to get my printer back up and running. Anyone of you generous folks feel like making me some sturdy MBS wideners?

I can try, but as stated above, my size is limited. Got a model?

This guy^^

Pretty sure it fits, only it’s one at a time with your size  I’m not sure how long the print is yet

At my default settings (3 perimieters, 25% infill), Prusaslicer estimates 4h or so.

Not sure how stronk you want it - More stronk takes more time.

Send me the file and I’ll see what I can do

Try one at that infill percentage and test it after?
If needed, I’ll amazon you a spool of filament

Sure. I don’t have any MBS hubs to test it on, but I can try and bend it, as well as squish it in my vise and see what the failure mode is.

The test part will also be good to let me check for shrinkage and dimensional accuracy.

What material are we talking about?

:fearful: how dare you not think of me I owe you one

I thought of you but didn’t wanna bother anyone specific. If you wanna try to print me some too, be my guest. I’ll take as many as I can break

this scares me now lmao
do you have the file in .STL ? .STEP works too but a lil more work for cura

PETG. It doesn’t shrink much, but it does shrink a little, say 0.5 to 1.5 %, give or take. And all those little pins and holes have to line up.
