Just use the formula calculator for esteps. You can search for that online…
Yeah why?
I know the smell of ASA didn’t expect it to be that smelly
did and came up with 550
at 550 esteps it prints out 100mm for 100mm extruded
but does it make sense or does it mean i have setup something wrong
Oh yeah. Definitely crack a window at the least. Pla smells so good after smelling that stuff.
What have submarines and Windows in common?
My basement room has windows, so cracking shouldn’t be a problem.
And ASA sticks very well to smooth PEI sheets. Too well.
Anyone know what’s causing this
Pla at 200c and bed at 50c
80mm/s max inner and 40mm/s outer walls
Outer layers are ok inside is messy
Think it might be a speed issue
Does that make sense
Or could be retraction settings
What do you recommend for Titan aero?
Currently at 0.5
I’d like to get a 3D printer more for model printing rather than esk8 specific, but it’ll be used for that aswell. I’m curious to know what printers people would recommend when on a budget? I don’t want to spend £1000 or whatever because I won’t justify the use.
Btw, all I know atm is that 3D printing is cool and theres loads of cool stuff on thingiverse that I want to print. Otherwise I’m a massive noob.
Slide into my DMs pls xxxxxxxx
Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10, Artillery Sidewinder X1
There’s some pretty decent printers for cheap nowadays
Same recommendation. Resin printers are great if you are looking into making high finish parts, but otherwise not worth the trouble.
I’ve seen these style printers and was hoping they would be okay. I know they’re on the cheaper end but surely it can’t be awful? What would I need to do in order to get going?
I saw a video about resin printers and the finish looks incredible but I think it’s a fair bit of hassle to set up? You can’t really print something randomly, can you…?
All three of them are capable of top tier quality with a little tinkering and tuning.
My Artillery has been printing great so far.
If you can assemble an esk8, you can tweak one of those printers above enough to be fine.
Even out of the box, 3 out of 4 of my ender 3s printed perfectly. One just needed an hour with a straight edge and L square to figure out the issue.
How small and detailed will the models be?
That’s pretty high infill printing speed! You print the walls at which speed?
Oh hell no, not the walls. Just the infill and solid infill. It’s Prusa xD
for anyone who is interested i bought the printbite+ bed like @RedBaron recommended and it is insane
used on pla and got the most perfect first layer i have ever had (shiny enough that i can see my reflection in it, looks proper glossy)
came off easily and no issues
gonna try with abs today
2 inches high up to something like 8 inches? I want to use it for all sorts of stuff tho.
I want something that has a big enough size and doesn’t limit me to just doing models
Yeah those options are all perfectly fine for what you’re after then.
That’s pretty fast for infill imo. Prusa default used to be 170mm/sec
That’s their fast preset xD
