£260 - ALL TERRAIN MOON DRIVES

I always thought that the bolt pattern was different

It shouldn’t be necessary.

Belt drive?
Geardrive take up a bit more space

Yes it was 30mm instead of 44mm, but they changed now.

If you can take some dimensions I should be able to tell you if it works

Yes, but it’s 40mm in total and still a little gap. I don’t say it will fit, but it may fit.

It’s all the same, just bolt pattern changed.

Can you send a picture of the motor mount installed?

You saw it already in my thread, or what do you want to know exactly?

Ooh yeah

The distance between the mounts please

I guess almost 200mm

The c2c distance on gear drives is much smaller so the motors will likely hit the baseplate

It’s more like 225mm. I can tell you tomorrow the exact distance.
This is the first version btw. So they require the adapter plates.

What allows @Andy87 to run your gear drives on matrix 2s and not me? Just the width of the hubs?

If so, wouldn’t axle extensions alleviate the issue? I really want the closed gear drive for the offroad and snow riding but I also need 9" tires.

Maybe with etoxx inset hubs and his adapter plate the width would be fine

You want 9" hubs with the gear drive? Use MBS fivestars?

I told you I had this setup and you told me it wouldn’t work like 2 days ago…

Oh I thought you wanted to run etoxx hubs and I know they wont work

Nope. I’ll take my lightweight fivestars any day. Even Joel from mbs rides them over the pros.

Well, bang on then and I’ll send you my monies soon.

I’m planning on running fivestars on matrix ii’s as well! :cowboy_hat_face: should be a damn fine combo

Just an idea for easier grease access, without the need to open up the whole system.
Grease nipple.
