The wheel gear tooth count is still to be decided

why do steel gears need to be bigger then pom for the pinion gear

Different mod. Smaller teeth means more teeth needed to reach the same diameter.

@moon So I can run the 5.2 on steel in my v4 GD?

Yes

I will first release steel gears that fit in the older drives

Pumped man! So not only do I get a stronger gear but I get more torque too. It’s a win win!

Yeah, they’re much quieter. I can’t even hear them over the wind when zooming

Just wondering, what are some pros/cons of steel gears vs. POM? Only concern I have with steel is if GD comes loose somehow while riding the steel gears will stop you dead in your tracks whereas the POM will break and not throw you off your board. Thoughts??

You’ll get thrown off regardless :upside_down_face:
