That’s why I said it’s my personal preference. The 40T can output 25A continuous, so you would need 4p to output 100A, 50A per motor, which is what I use my boards at.

The 30T is a 35A cell, so a 3p could discharge at 105A, 55A per motor, it means it can be more powerful than a 40T on 4p hvavig 25% smaller footprint, this would be ideal if you use your board on comutes shorter than 20 miles of if you want to have a powerful pack on a small/lighweight esk8.

Haha, I don’t want to take my identical enclosure off, so I stacked them.

Moving from a 12s5p 30q to this…

12S8P of 50E, 5000mah per cell, 40AH in total, 1750Wh, all fitted beautifully in the TB 40 deck, enclosed in Bigben really big Hummie based enclosure.

The time of the 21700 is now, hail to the king !

I’ve been perusing the interwebs for deals on these cells for the past month or so…Anybody know of the hook-ups in the US??

In my eyes it’s all about what cell will give you the best configuration that your enclosure allows. When deciding what cells to use for my latest pack I simply measured and calculated what would fit and came up with the conclusion that samsung 35E cells would give me the most capacity that I could fit in the box, at the lowest price aswell. In a 12s16p config I’m not worried about the 10A discharge rating of the 35E cells either :grimacing:

When do you need 50A per motor on 50v?
Going up a huge hill at 50kmh+?

Wait… That’s 55Ah… Are you tryna measure your range in Mm

I’m estimating about 70-80km range on this battery. Would love it to get 100, but i very much doubt that it will.

Damn she sounds power hungry…50Wh/mi?

Probably more. I think I worked it out on my average consumption being about 11-12 wh/km for each motor. So that puts me closer to 50wh/km not mile. But i can’t remember… was like 6 months ago

I’m like @Mainflow 's socks after seeing your pack.

Don’t tell anyone, but I’m also considering putting a similar sized pack underneath the board

I want to do a super long range road trip one day and would like to be able to achieve at least 150km per day, not going slowly

But how?! I can’t even :joy:

Oooh wild guessing, parallel rows all under the board, full length? Double stack maybe? How will you cope with flex?

ok it’s 18650, but…
