Regardless of all the other bullshit in this thread, that is a commendable act. I would likely have shot the pitbull and then hunted down the owner and shot him too. You can punch me in the face and we can maybe talk about it, mess with my dog, you better have a box to be buried in very close.

The fake sale workaround sets a precedent and in that case, might as well ditch the “no closing threads” rule. Besides, I don’t want Damon to go after my nipples with his welder again.
If it flares up again, extended sleepy time is definitely on the table.
