ProtoTabor - Prototipo Inspired Tabor Build ($1100)

  • 12s6p P42A Battery, built by Duck Battery Systems (Charges to 4.12v/cell)

  • Hoyt ROSA Reverse Kingpin Trucks

  • Boundmotor “Phantom” CNC hubs/Metroboard 153mm tires (15:55 Ratio)

  • MakerX DV6 Pro VESC (set to 120 Motor Amps/50 Battery Amps) [No BLE]

  • 6384 Flipsky “Zoobomb” Motors

  • 8 Amp Charger (50.8V)

  • Hoyt Puck 1.0 with “Nug” Shell

  • 2x Metroboard Spare tubes and 1x temporary spare HOTA 150mm tube

Note: This is not a stock Tabor, it is a custom build using an old Tabor deck and Pathfinder enclosure. The board has been tuned by myself and assembled by HyperEsk8Repairs.

This has been my daily driver for the past year or so, the build itself is about 16 months old; though certain parts are derived from other builds.
Roughly 5700* miles on the Odometer.

I can vouch for this board. I’ve ridden it and I’ve seen it written a lot I know it works and it rides really well. It made me feel like we should have just released the Tabor on Rosa

How so?

It certainly would have made a lot of things easier. I would miss Rosita trucks though.

Short wheelbase of the Tabor, wider trucks from the UAV, medium sized-tires from the Pathfinder. Makes it small, but stable and comfy. All while being relatively “light”.

Would’ve gone 4p to save even more weight, but felt like it would be a waste considering an enclosure was never designed for a pack that small
