DEAD 20s4p P42a Battery Built by @SkyArt
Built for Disney Doom Buggy Promo Car for the Haunted Mansion movie. Poor thing was left outside for 8 months inside an aluminum coffin. Did not survive. I attempted to recover the pack and was unsuccessful. Pretty sure none of the p groups are any good. BMS is still Functional. Not really sure how to price this so let me know. Also willing to dissect this and sell BMS separately $25
Dual 6364 Drive Train
9mm Enertion Belt System | 245kv Tacon 160 motors | 90mm Abec Flywheels | 10in Caliber 2 Trucks
Awesome Drive Setup. Runs great on 12s. I’m actually sad to see this one go. Everything is in great condition, lots of life left. Brand new belts. $140
I was super satisfied with this drive on my 12s build. It probably won’t throw you off but it’s still very good. They are unsensored with a low ratio so accelerating very hard from 0 isn’t really possible. It was perfect for my commuter. I would fly up every hill in my daily riding without any noticeable slowdown.
I think it depends on gearing, what top speed you want, and which ESC you’re using but I lean towards Brian’s answer. Any VESCs based on 4.xx hardware (maytech/flipsky/TB 4.12, Unity, MakerX DV4, etc) will not like 12S at 245 regardless of gearing. Max ERPM of 60k for those ESCs, 12S and 245kv gets you 74k
As OP said though, it’s definitely possible to run this. A relatively edge case but doable 15:45 gearing on 100mm wheels is 60km/h, that’s too rich for my blood but by the standards of the forum I’m a coward. The torque with that gearing and 50A is about 40-50% higher than a pair of decent hub motors at 30A
VESC project website says 4.xx is 60k and that’s what I remember reading on the forums when I was starting out, not sure why the default is bad but it might be one specific vendor’s profiles being wonky?
