so i built a battery and in the end there was no way to fit it in my enclosure so getting a building a new one
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
i am not a professional battery builder. this is the first battery i have ever built and is by no means perfect. it currently works and i have tested it including under small load. because of this i am going to have to sell on the principal that i am not at blame to anything caused through this battery. when you buy it you should check and make sure you are happy before using. once again i am not a professional builder i learnt what i was doing from the battery builders thread and nothing more.
i know many of you will mock me and make jokes and memes below so please keep it to a minimum…
looking for £300 no charge port currently attached but can do that for you if necessary
llt bms
cells from fogstar and nickel from fogstar
series conenctions are 2 x 10awg wire
carefully fishpapered and lots of kapton also a layer of heatshrink on top
pictures of the build below
battery is capable of 210amps burst and is currently well balanced
dimensions are 42cm x 15cm x 4.5cm then bms is on the outside (in heatshrink) but a esc could go on top of that
made for double stack enclosure
please pm or contact with any other questions happy to ship within the eu
Kapton tape looks like a mess, and it would be nice to have some insulation over the nickel and the solder spots, but otherwise looks decent. If someone owns a garage to keep their skateboard in, I guess it’s a good deal?
The insulation and wiring looks sub par, but the welds seem okay…I’d rate it 6/10 in terms of being a good battery (useable but not great) and you may be better off cutting it apart and selling as a BMS plus parallel groups
we have seen worse inside a build, yes, and i wasn’t trying to discourage this sale
but i feel like, since its Shua’s first battery build, it had to be time tested for reliability
making something first time and selling it right away, u gotta have big balls to trust that
as i said before big disclaimer this is my first battery
i realise its not perfect and def room to improve but i dont have the energy to take apart
correct it go poofy poof
was looking at it today and it requires pulling off a bunch of solder joints and etc so just not worth it
once again for anyone interested correct the battery is not perfect. but on the other hand the price reflects this. just the cells + nickel alone cost more then 300. if you want to take it and spend an hour or two putting extra insulation and etc… you could have a nice battery for a good price.
@glyphiks did raise a good point and for that reason i am not selling to anybody who is taking it to stick straight in their build. only selling to someone who is going to look through it and take responsibility themselves for it.
