Wtb (US) 100mm+ kegel core wheels

Two of my torqueboard 110s delaminated. Becoming a pain and seems dangerous. Anyone have some wheels laying around that I can buy at a discount? Please and thank you. Otherwise I think i might just get 100mm boas or wait for the HOLLOW wheels to be released

I’m pretty sure I liked these better than the boas.

Your right, to add to that HyperDrive wheels are the same thing different brand if you don’t want to pay dex, but are almost twice as much.

I thought so too…
I had the boas…
got them first… because I wanted the contact patch.

really did not love them…

got these to replace them…

liked these better

gummier and grippier.

I did not have the new extra soft boas… don’t know about those…

What exactly happens when they delam? Do you have a photo by chance? I bought a set of tb110s from dex like a mo ago and haven’t ridden them yet, but if they are prone to being problematic i need to find replacements asap as well

I bought mine in like april 2020. They’ve definitely lasted a pretty long time. I dont notice that one delaminated until i brake or accelerate hard. They dont wobble or anything at high speed. I took the first one apart and cleaned the core and wheel then epoxied it. That was like a week ago. Then yesterday the second one started slipping too

So is the core separating from the thane? Guess I’m iffy on the definition of delamination when it comes to wheels

Yea the bond between the thane and the core breaks and the core just wiggles and spins around in there. Wondering how much more it wouldve cost to make a grooved core so this issue wouldnt happen.

Jesus that’s terrifying.

Its not that bad considering i ride around on a board i built myself everyday

Not sure if anyone’s tried this, but have you tried squirting some locktite in there, maybe with a syringe? You never know. Can’t fuck it up any more.

I’m pretty sure it’s only the 72A that delaminate, try to get some 78A second hand maybe?

I thought about that. Ive got some green stuff might as well try

Maybe go straight for the strongest stuff.

If it doesn’t work you wont be able to clean it out.
