[WTB]Raith Direct Drive Setup/whole board

Hey everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone has a Raith Eskate direct drive setup?

I know they’re not that popular here but I love the 180mm Paris trucks, and the DD Paris clone that Raith have custom made. I’d love to make a light, carry-able, stealth build with them.

Wondering if anyone has a set of them laying around, or even a whole board they’d unload.

I’m mostly interested in just the trucks with motors, but I’d consider anything (like whole build working, or dead, etc…)

I’d also consider any other narrow <190mm, direct drive setup, prefer kegel adaptor. I don’t know of any others that exist though. I dislike hub motors so that’s a dealbreaker.

Thank you! But not what I’m looking for, and actually have a couple boards like that already :slight_smile:

Really looking for these, in order of priority:

  • Low profile RKP (could work with TKP, but not DKP)
  • Hanger width less than 200mm
  • Direct drive, kick-pushable, no hub motors

It’s uncommon, as far as I can tell only the raith drives really fit this to the dot.

I would love to hear about the board you are building…

And what wheels do you have in mind?

You can think of it as a Raith with an upgraded battery. I like the Maverick 88 wheels it comes with so I’d keep them.

I really like the Raith drive, but the battery capacity is subpar. I’m thinking if I get a nice DH board, and build a good enclosure, I can fit 18s1p 21700. I’m planning for the Linkdata 65p when they’re available.

Compact, light, freerolling, and stealthy.

What deck inspires you and what truck in the front?

I’d just use the normal Paris 180mm in front; I like them and they come with the raith (if I’m forced to buy one just for the trucks).

I’m planning based on the Fabio Minnig spec board, because it looks awesome, however any solid downhill board, around 9” width, 28”-33” length is good.

2nd (cheaper) choice would be Loaded Tesseract.

For you interest, here is a 20s config, and an 18s config. 20s is wider, and I will have to take a look at the final deck, concave and rocker first.

You should contact Mboards. i know they have a few Raith boards that are completes. I think they were trade-ins, but they are in great condition.

I actually did browse through their used/clearance section beforehand, and didn’t see any listed.

Do you know if there’s any better way to contact them?

Only major issue is that all the decks fail so be prepared for that, I sold mine after the 3rd deck replacement. Happened with the carbon and bamboo decks. IMO I would look at this instead imo but no long term reviews yet WSPEED M1-S60 Electric Skateboard | Baifoskate.es

You mean the raith decks failed right?

I’ve used a Raith bamboo for a bit and I felt that the moulded underbelly sections might not survive abuse. Surprised to hear that about the carbon one though! Will keep that in mind.

I guess the nice thing about enclosure style is it’s easy for me to swap decks if that does happen.

I’ve never seen that one, very interesting to see. Looks better than the Elofty downhill board, and they look like they have nice trucks.

I really want direct drive for this one though.

Yeah it’s a good direct drive system just geared way too high, but yeah I know 4 other people who had their decks fail. And the only person still riding for them uses a deck built by someone else because his also kept breaking lol

Any chance any of those people want to sell? Broken deck, dead batter, bad bms, etc… is perfect for me, just after the trucks.

Ive seen the Raith boards in person at their shop. I almost bought the DD4wd version they have. Im not sure why they arent listed for sale officially. . Ill direct Mike to this thread. Hopefully you gjys can work something out

A sales rep replied and said they don’t have any, and I just responded to double check, and make sure they know that it doesn’t have to be in good working order.

Would be happy to get them “as-is”, or for parts, or no warranty implied, all works great for me.
