[WTB] Hoyt St 5" Pneumatic Tires and Rims

Saw them, need them.

Would like to try them with the Switchblade I got from Rusin and the DKPs from Razillians design.

I’m EU based btw. Willing to pay for international shipping if the overall price is still lower than the new set… 450$ is a lot of money.

i believe a cheaper nylon version is in the works if you can wait a bit

Heard about it. Already asked in another thread when they will be released.

But the Aluminium is quite sexy too…

switchblade with DKP and hoyt 5" will be freaking magic to ride. I had them on a demonseed and they were fun af.

The grip is unreal on hoyt 5". Better than any wheel I have tried. You can hear them grip the ground when you carve. The rubber is so soft/grippy.

I spoke to Jackson from Hoyt at ESK8con and saw the new nylon version of the hubs. It should be significantly cheaper than the aluminum version. Should also be kegel compatible.

Thanks for the pulley, again :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s exactly what I thought!

My only concern is about the hight of the DKPs. Razillians DKP Design is quite high. But I saw the wider hangers he designed are a bit less high… Maybe I need those too. Bigger motors would be also nice.

Any chance you got a comment on release date out of them?

Theres no estimate. It just depends on how well they survive testing. If the first iteration is magically good, it may be soon, but it’s at least a few months out.

If you value your ankles, don’t ride DKP.

Hate those.
That’s why I surfskate

Really? It there too much movement? I have been riding both DKPs and TKPs for a while and have not had any ankle issues.

everyone says that until they don’t :joy:

DKP is not a problem if you’re just cruising. I find them hard to dial in and going past 25mph is just to scary

Me too. I find that each truck has a range of speed in which they work well in.

DKPs when tuned to carve well do not great over 25mph.

What interests me in the 3 link trucks is they seem to have a wide optimal range. They seem super carvy while having great stability at higher speed.
