I got this

I can simplify the design without threads then cut the threads myself. I got a die.

oh I probably could not cut that large thread with the die completely…
Would need more clearance then I could.
Just one?
I only need a pair, but we could make a tiny batch if demand is there.
You good bro?![]()

you bout to make me act up, both SAE and metric ? What brand is the set?
17-4 PH SS, new threads, die,
Savages work is spot on perfect man. Do it.
@Fosterqc, I could make those for you maybe next week, as I am running a similar job on the lathe then. (Same tools) The job I’m gonna be running is not Esk8 related but using 4140 steel, and I have extra, so material cost wouldn’t need to be factored. I prefer 17-4 SS for axels, but 4140 would work as well.
Your picture threw me off, thought someone was barging in offering 1st class machining.
oops forgot to make the drawing, will do today
ok this drawing looks OK ish
I don’t think I need that hole in the end although it would help me hold the axle well while threading it.
Few things I don’t know is exactly the prep cuts needed for the 5/16-24… same 30deg chamfer as the m10 I bet.
