I’ve been riding a slightly modified wowgo 2s (Paris Trucks, own Quickmount battery) since 2019.
I use the board exclusively on holiday in France and Spain. Approx. 30*20km / year. The roads there are very rough and after 10km my feet start to tingle.
I am therefore speculating about ordering the wowgo at2 plus for 880USD/770€ incl postage to Germany.
Are there better alternatives in this price range?
Destination:
- Rough roads, possibly light offroad
- maximum 36km/h, no high-speed, but steep climbs.
- rather nice turns / surfing (therefore the dkp-trucks of the at are interesting)
- At least 20km range at 20km/h
- Simple technology with standard parts. To use a range extender, for example, or to be able to replace parts yourself in the event of a defect.
- Ideally 14s setup with quick-mount battery (probably not possible)
Propel Pivot GT: 1150 USD shipped
Evo MK1: 1050 USD shipped
Acedeck Nomad N1: 1130 USD shipped
Wowgo AT2: 880 USD…
Thank you!
Personatly I would go for Evo or Nomad. Evo is more capable off-road. But both Truck setups are not as carvy as the DKP.
Wowgo is such an outdated board to todays standards.
But with your description of carvy setup the pivot sounds just right. Only downside is the stiff carbon deck if your feet starts to tingle easily.

TLDR; All the boards with standard dual kingpin truck feel the same, regardless of brand, etc… They are all built the same and all ride the same… meh… all boring.
So if you’re purely looking at Price the Wowogo is a great choice…
My first board was the WOWgo AT2 (not the plus).
I love the board, it’s a great beginner board, but I out grew it pretty quick.
I then had an Evolve bamboo GT. Meh! Overpriced IMO. It felt the same as the WOWgo but twice the price.
What I eventually found, and the only thing I ride now, is the Propel Endeavor GT.
That Urban suspension makes all the difference. No more vibrations making your feet/toes go numb. No more solid axle, so no matter what one wheel does, the rest are still firmly planted on the ground, so no speed wobbles, well not till you hit 30mph+ anyway.
And even tho its a solid frame and carbon deck, the suspension makes it feel like a flexy bamboo deck.
Also, padded gip tape!. It makes a huuuuge difference with the very high frequency vibrations, making for a butter smooth ride.
Anyway, I love it and I would recommend looking at Propel if you plan to do any off-road/all-terrain stuff…
Also, Propel has killer customer service. I broke some stuff on my Endeavor and they sent me all the parts I needed for free, and they have an extensive Youtube library of repair video too.
For contrast, Evolve’s customer service feelt like going to the dentists…
Anyway, I would think about what kind of riding you will predominantly do (on-road/off-road) and get a board that will suit that best.

Unfortunately, the real setup of the boards is somewhat hidden. Nomad N1 with pneumatic wheels costs 1,300 USD (only included in the gear version).
Linnpower Evo MK-1 Lite has channel trucks. So not as carvy as I’m looking for. For the same reason, real suspension trucks are not interesting for me.
Too bad. I’ll probably stick with the wowgo at2 plus or Propel PIVOT GT Standard at this price for the time being. Unfortunately, due to the legal situation in Germany, the board has to lie around at home unused for most of the year. Otherwise the price wouldn’t matter.
Apart from the numb feet, my current wowgo2s would be enough for me.
Thank you very much for your very helpful info!

I have a WowGo AT2 and I’ve had it for over 3 years now. The WowGo AT2 is a solid board (I have had no issues at all) and IMO, it rides best on Urethane Wheels (like Torque Boards 110’s or Hoyt 111’s).
For background sake, I own 14 boards. Some of my boards include: Evolve Hadeen, Meepo Hurricane, Lacroix, etc).
That said, IMO, in the long-run you will be happier with the EVO MK1. I ride my Lacroix Boards (with Channel Trucks) at least 4X as often as I do a regular street board.
This is just my 2 cents. But if I were to choose between the list you provided today, I would go with the EVO.

My first skateboard was from UDITER, and I didn’t know much about Wowgo.
Thank you very much for your helpful answers. I’ll delve a little deeper into the topic, even though I may have different preferences.
I would have ordered it long ago if I weren’t on holiday.
In the meantime, I’ve moved away from the Wowgo At2 and, among other things, had the Propel Pivot GT as my favourite because of its components. After much deliberation, I’ve now decided on the Tynee Explorer with additional dkp trucks.
My focus is on carving/surfing and having fun at speeds below 30 km/h on very bad roads. Wowgo and Tynee were shipped from a European warehouse. The Tynee has a slightly longer range and the service is supposed to be better than Wowgo’s. A 14s battery would be even more practical, but it’s not worth 300 USD to me.
So I’ll probably go for the Tynee Explorer for 1040 USD.
You also might want to consider the boards from AceDeck.
Of course, but the Nomad N1 with AT-Wheels is ~1300 USD.
That Linnpower is such an incredible value to me.

I have now ordered the Tynee Explorer + TKP. It’s a shame that the Acedeck Nomad comes with urethane wheels as standard, otherwise I would have had to pay an extra $300.
On the rough roads here in the countryside, the Tynee will definitely be a significant upgrade from my 2019 Wowgo S2
Thanks again to everyone. Your information helped me a lot in making my decision.

Tynee Explorer og version with Molicel P42A is like 852€ Has dkp and tkp baseplates and is very flexi/comfortable.
That’s why I ordered it. It has already been delivered. DKP were delivered later. It’s fun. Only the bushings are rubbish. I’m still thinking about which setup to use. There are some recommendations here in the forum. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a shop in Germany that has the sizes and hardnesses I want.
https://www.sickboards.nl have all kinds of riptide bushings. And ask here: Bushing and Truck Setup Help Offered - #1891 by EreTroN
Tell them your setup in as much detail as you can, with your bodi weight ect.
Thank you very much! Looks promising
