Hey there,
My hub motor died on my wowgo3. Wowgo don’t have any replacement options available. Just wondering if anyone knows of a compatible one I can replace it with? Also would I have to replace both or just the broken one.
Thanks in advance

I believe that your hub motors each have 4 bolts and a flat steel plate holding the hub motor shaft to the truck.
If one hub motor has failed at fairly high mileage, the other is likely not too far behind.
Meepo or Puaida sell a new truck with new motors for about 40% more than a single motor. I had some Puaida that worked well. Many of their hub motors likely from same factory. The Puaida replaceable sleeves say they fit many meepo and wowgo boards. Double check.
Most come with an mr30 phase wire connector, and a 5 pin JST 2.54 sensor connector, but you should check and see what you have before ordering to see if it is simply plug and play into your ESC.
Thanks for this!!
I checked out the puaida website and they have nice looking hub motors that have the same connections as the wowgo 3. It says the motors have a kv of 77. I’m not sure how to work out the kv of the wowgo 3 esc. I emailed them but haven’t heard back. Do you know if they need to be the exact same number to be compatible?
The 77kv spec was not listed when I bought mine. They worked fine with two different ESC’s, but both were Lingyi, not Hobbywing.
Not sure whether the exact kv matters, just belt or hub motor esc.
If you buy them make sure to check torque on the 6 phillips head screws on each motor, and the 4 hex bolts on each side of the truck. Mine had a couple which were a bit loose.
I am in hillless Florida, but these motors did OK moving nearly 300 lbs for about 1500 miles, before they got submerged.
I failed to get them to work with Vesc, but that was likely a skill issue.
Awesome thanks, I’ll message puaida and ask if it’s compatible with hobbywing
