Transferring hardware to gear drive axel
Going to grind a flat surface for grub screw to press against. The 8mm bore on pulley has no keyway channel.
Applied 3 washers for motor shaft for proper spacing
Once you put loctite 638 on motor shaft and slide on pulley gear tighten grub screw and let set for 24-48 hours
Position the inside plate.
Once you have it positioned properly use loctite thread locker blue 242
Mount motor to outside of the plate inside of hanger
Put 10mm washer on gear drive axel
Put on Two Side Sealed Ball Bearings 12x28x8
Then put on wheel gear set position with minimal back wash
Once motors are set loctite thread locker 242 hex motor mount screws.
Then take sugru moulded glue and put in gap of plate and axel mount.
Then remount washer, bearing and wheel gear.
Nice work great pictures thanks
Have to trim off top half of motor shaft so gear drive panel will fit snug.
Making sure gear drive fits snug assembled
damn, that is wayyy too much grease xD
a 10th of that would be enough. You just want to bring a thin film of grease on the gear teeth, so that rolling resistance is low. With that much grease, it’s just gonna get flung to the inside of the case and do no good.
100% agree
OK thanks, I will take some out. Appreciate all the good feed back.
