Go to a whitegoods or homewares store and see if they are getting rid of anything suitable.

Worst case just get a box from a fridge or something and cut it up to suit.

You could also hack it. Go to a music store and ask for guitar boxes. They discard the boxes of floor models at least once a week. Trim it with a box cutter. Keep it together with packing tape from a dollar store.
